Get to know the very symbol of the city of Liberec and the icon of the local region. The famous hotel and restaurant Ještěd with a transmitter stands at the very top of Ještěd Ridge (1012 m above sea level) and majestically overlooks the surroundings.
Its history dates back to 1907, when the first mountain chalet was opened here. However, the original structure was destroyed by a major fire in 1963, only to be inaugurated 10 years later with the new building of the existing transmitter. It was later declared a National Historic Landmark and even the Building of the Century.
