Children’s Bike Races in the Skill Zone

As part of Ještěd Family Day, we have prepared fun children’s timed bike races in the Skill Zone for young bikers. This is not about stress or intense racing pressure — the main goal is to encourage joy of movement, support children in sports, and create a pleasant atmosphere for the whole family.
All children under 16 years of age are welcome to participate, as long as they can ride a bike and would like to try a simple technical course full of turns, jumps, balance challenges, and skill elements. And if you do not have your own bike, no problem — bike rentals will be available on site.
Skalka Chairlift Ticket for Children for CZK 10
On the day of the event, all children under 18 can use a return ticket for the Skalka chairlift for a symbolic price of CZK 10. The ticket is valid for both uphill and downhill rides on Saturday, June 6, 2026 during Ještěd Family Day.

Race Schedule
- 1st start: 11:00 AM
- 2nd start: 1:00 PM
For all children under 16 years of age.
Categories
Children will be divided by age:
- 0–5 years (with parental assistance if needed)
- 6–8 years
- 9–12 years
- 13–16 years
The organizer reserves the right to adjust the categories depending on the number of registered participants.
Race Format
- Each rider completes one timed run on the technical course in the Skill Zone.
- The course will test balance, agility, and basic riding skills.
- Final rankings are determined by the fastest time.
Mandatory Equipment
- Own bicycle in proper technical condition
- Cycling helmet (mandatory)
We also recommend gloves and spine protectors.
All personal bicycles must be in good technical condition. Bike rental will also be available on site.
Prizes for Competitors
Winners will receive a diploma, medal, and a ticket to iQLANDIA.
The overall winner will receive a Ještěd bike season pass.
