Road Classics Ještěd 2026

Take the chairlift up to cheer from the Ještěd ridge
On Saturday, 19 September 2026, Liberec and the area around Ještěd will come alive with the Direct Road Classics Ještěd – one of the most prestigious amateur road cycling events in the country. The peloton sets off from Dr. E. Beneš Square and rides along closed roads through the Jizera Mountains all the way up to the summit of Ještěd, where a finish-line fan zone awaits both riders and spectators.

The easiest way to get there as a spectator?
Take the Skalka cable car up to the Ještěd ridge, then walk the rest of the way to the summit. You'll save your energy, avoid the road closures, and enjoy the views and the cheering at the same time – a perfect day out for the whole family.

And as a bonus:
- Visitors to the event wearing a Road Classics Ještěd wristband can ride the Skalka cable car for just 50 CZK on the day of the event.
- Simply show your event wristband at the Info Centre.
